Name :
Robin.
Where he lives : anywhere Michael’s gang chooses to set camp, be it street
or barn or whatever. Will follow.
Age, date of birth : Is around twelve, thirteen years old. Only knows he was born somewhen near
the middle of spring… maybe May.
Place of Birth : Corus slums.
Occupation : works in Michael’s streetrat gang, mainly fulfilling the jobs of breaker and
enterer, lockpick, and general monkey/mole/catbruglar. Has a knack for pushing himself through small windows and for moving
silently.
Status : Commoner.
Family : His
mother was an eighteen-year-old lass who was taken in by the kidsman Jethro, who in turn trained her as a prostitute. His
father is unknown to him, but Jethro has become like a subtitution father, a father figure guy.
Appearance : Body - Robin’s very small. He towers at 1meter 49, and he’s incredibly
skinny. He has long legs and long arms with long fingers. Has very narrow shoulders and a small head.
Face - Robin’s got grey eyes sorrounded by very short eyelashes, under light brows. He has a medium-sized
mouth with very thin lips. He’s missing one tooth, which would be the one between the incisive and the canine on the
right-hand side of his mouth. His right. He has a small scar going down from the right corner of his mouth and disappearing
under his jawbone, from a fight into which he was forcibly induced against a kid with a broken bottle.
Hair – dirty-blond in color, though will probably look ebony-black to onlookers,
for sheer lack of shampoo and baths. Used to be short, but now it’s covering his ears and constantly going into his
eyes.
Clothing : A pair of breeches, too long, stolen from a peasant a few months ago. Has to turn
the ends over three times before he can actually walk. It is held at the waist with string. Over it, has a shirt that just
might have been white in another life, with long sleeves that he holds over his hands with some string tied along the forearms.
Has no shoes, so has his feet wrapped in two or three layers of rags held at the ankles by string too. In summer and spring,
he goes around barefoot.
Personality : Is very monkey-see-monkey-do. He obeys easily, without asking questions, and always
tries to do the best work, a principle he has taken from Jethro, the kidsman who taught him his job. His being part of Michael’s
street gang has taught him incorruptible loyalty, and he can easily be considered as Michael’s dog – he is exactly
that. He idolizes Michael because Michael’s got the power and Michael’s the one leading the gang. He’ll
take orders from Michael or another gang-leader easily, but don’t expect him to take any from lower-ranked streetrats.
He. Obeys. Michael. Only. That’s his principle, state of mind, moral… call it what you like. If Michael told him
to throw himself in the lit fireplace, he’d do it.
Strengths : Knows how to lockpick. His great suppleness and his small size allow him to go through
small windows through which others wound only be able to put their legs.
Weaknesses : he has a total lack of self-reliance. He can’t take care of himself and has
to be told what to do, which is why he’s such a dog to whatever leader he’s under. He hates fighting and isn’t
really built for it, skinny as he is, but an order will get him to at least try and hit the other person.
History : His mother was an 18yr old girl working for Jethro as a whore. When he was born, Jethro
immediately took him in and taught him the basics. As Robin grew, Jethro started to notice his size and suppleness, and had
him specialize in catbruglary and mole-business. To help and complete the assets, he taught him lockpicking. After ten years,
Robin was sold by Jethro to Michael’s master, where Robin met Michael. When the old man was hanged, Robin immediately
joined Michael’s gang, which stared with a different leader. Robin was loyal and adoring anyway. The leader changed
and Robin adapted. Now, Michael’s the leader, and Robin adores and idolizes him.
What is he most ashamed of? Robin is ashamed of his not being able to fight. He’d like
to make Michael happy by winning a fight he’d be ordered into, but knows it’d only happen if the opponent were
five years old and had his hands tied behind his back. Compensates the shame by prizing himself on his breaking-and-entering
capacities, but still.
What makes him unique? His total, entire devotion to Michael or whatever leader he falls under.
His lack of self-reliance makes him that way, he –needs- to be ordered around to survive. The only things he does without
being ordered (and that’s only barely) are eat, drink and breathe. If one told him to stay awake for three days straight,
he’d do his best to do it.
Why does he comes to the Inn? Because Michael’s going, duh.
